WINNIPEG (CityNews) – A Winnipeg hockey coach has been charged for sexual assaults that are believed to have occurred between 1993 and ’95.

Winnipeg Police say they were contacted in June by two former players from the Assiniboine Park Hockey Association.

The pair told WPS, while they were in their early teens they had been sexually assaulted by an adult male who coached their team.

“The survivors were separately invited to the suspect’s residence where he lived at the time, where they were provided money and alcohol and subsequently sexually assaulted,” said Winnipeg Police in a statement. “They further reported that the incidents had been photographed and videotaped at the time.”
