Manitoba reports 58 new COVID-19 cases, two additional deaths

WINNIPEG – Manitoba is reporting two COVID-19-related deaths today and 58 new cases of the virus.

One of the deaths was a man in his 70s whose case was linked to an outbreak at the Heritage Life Personal Care Home in Niverville, Man., while the other death was a woman in her 80s from the Winnipeg health region.

The province says there are 208 people in hospital due to COVID-19, including 31 patients in intensive care.

Manitoba’s current five-day COVID-19 test positivity rate is 5.3 per cent provincially and 4.1 per cent in Winnipeg.
