Two men arrested, charged after apparent fight early Saturday

WINNIPEG – Two men are facing assault and gun charges after a fight broke out early Saturday morning.

Winnipeg police were called to Furby Street and Sargent Avenue around 2:40 a.m. for reports of a fight and the sounds of gunshots.

The Air1 police helicopter was nearby and was able to see one of the suspects involved attempting to hide his gun on the roof of a house.

Officers arrested two people and seized the gun.

Terryl Severight, 26, has been charged with a handful of gun charges.

Aaron Bryant, 29, was charged with assault with a weapon and possession of a weapon.
