Police looking for woman in Bud Paul murder investigation

WINNIPEG – Homicide investigators say they’re very close to solving the murder of Bud Paul, but they need help identifying a woman who may have been around when Paul died.

Paul, 56, was reported missing on Aug. 7.

His burned-out car was found on Queen Street on Aug. 10 and his body was found in deep brush on Roseau River Anishinabe First Nation the following day.

Police say the people responsible for Paul’s murder continued to use his bank account and phone after he died and the man who parked Paul’s car before it was set on fire tossed some evidence into a nearby garbage bin.

Detectives are still trying to identify the woman (pictured below) who was with the man when Paul’s car was left on Queen Street.

If anyone has information on who this woman is or her whereabouts, police would like to talk to you.
