WINNIPEG – Manitoba’s COVID-19 numbers are continuing to rise and the province’s top doctor says some people are not getting the message about prevention.
Dr. Brent Roussin, the province’s chief public health officer, says health officials are still seeing examples of people going out and mingling while symptomatic.
The province is announcing 124 new cases, although most of them are due to delayed reporting from the long weekend.
124 cases were identified in the following RHA's:
Interlake-Eastern: 16
Prairie Mountain: 3
Northern Health: 1
Southern Health-Santé Sud: 9
Winnipeg: 95

Roussin is also reporting the province’s 35th death – a man in his 70s from the southern health region.
The cases come two weeks after tighter restrictions were imposed in Winnipeg, and almost one week after bars and licensed restaurants were ordered to close earlier than normal.
