Man charged after guns, drugs, pipe-bomb seized from Polson Ave. home

WINNIPEG – A 27-year-old man is facing a handful of charges after multiple weapons and drugs were seized from a home on Polson Avenue.

Last Thursday, officers with the Winnipeg Police Service (WPS) were called to a dispute at a home on Polson near Sinclair Street.

Upon arrival, police spoke with a man who advised them that he had guns in the basement of the house.

WPS found 17 guns, thousands of rounds of ammunition, a pipe-bomb, meth, and equipment and chemicals to make meth in the house.

Hayden Ploszay has been charged with unauthorized possession of a firearm, unlawful possession of explosives, careless storage of a firearm, and production of a scheduled substance.
