Woman, 60, dead after car crashes into construction site: RCMP

WINNIPEG (CITYNEWS) – RCMP say a 60-year-old woman is dead after rolling into the pit of a construction site just outside Powerview, Man., on Friday night.

Powerview RCMP believe the woman was driving on Highway 11 when she “entered the construction site, rolled and collided with construction materials,” according to a release.

The Great Falls, Man., native was pronounced dead on the scene when police located the vehicle on Saturday morning. She was the only person in the car.

RCMP and a forensic reconstructionist are investigating the fatal incident.
