2 assaults in last 24 hours, no arrests made

WINNIPEG – Police haven’t made any arrests yet in two separate serious assaults over the last 24 hours.
Shortly before 7 p.m. Thursday, police were called to a bar on the corner of Mayland Ave and Wellington Street.
A man was taken to hospital in critical condition. There’s no word on a suspect or any updates to the victim’s condition at this time.
Then, around 2:30 a.m. on Friday, WPS was called to Higgins Avenue near Main Street for another assault. The victim was transported to hospital in critical condition but he has since been upgraded to stable.
There is no information on a suspect in this case either.
