Charges laid in Friday stabbing

WINNIPEG – A 39-year-old man is facing a handful of charges after a stabbing on Friday afternoon.
Around 2:07 p.m. WPS responded to an assault on Main Street near Jarvis Avenue.
When officers arrived, they found the victim, a 28-year-old man, on the ground with serious knife wounds.
The victim was rushed to hospital in critical condition but has since been upgraded to stable condition.
A few hours later, WPS arrested 39-year-old Abdiaza Ahmed Saeed, who had a knife and meth on him.
Saeed has been charged with aggravated assault, possession of a weapon, carrying a concealed weapon, and possession of a scheduled substance.
