Cyclist killed in hit-and-run crash

Police say a 50-year-old man has died after being struck by a vehicle Wednesday night while riding his bicycle.

WINNIPEG – Winnipeg police say a cyclist out for a ride Wednesday night was killed in a hit-and-run crash.

Around 10 p.m. police and EMS responded to the scene of the crash at the intersection of Moncton Ave. and Grey Street.

The driver took off.

The cyclist, a 50-year-old man, was rushed to the hospital in critical condition but ultimately succumbed to his injuries.

Police say as of yet, there’s no suspect or car description.

Anyone who may have witnessed the collision or has additional information can call WPS or Crime Stoppers.
