The world has never been more convenient. What is that doing to us?

In today’s Big Story podcast, you can order anything, literally anything, with the press of a button. If you don’t ever want to leave your house, you don’t have to. There’s an entire industry, worth tens of billions of dollars, that sells you nothing but your own time. Is that a good thing?
Studies show we’re more lonely then we’ve ever been. Our attention spans are shorter. We have fewer friends. We don’t connect, face-to-face, with the people in our community. Part of that is because we simply don’t have to. Do we need to change our behaviour, or will we adapt to the new human reality? Can things be too convenient?
