Two men, teenager, charged in Winnipeg homicide

WINNIPEG (CITYNEWS) – Three people have been charged after a 52-year-old man was found dead inside a Winnipeg home.

One of the accused in connection to the case is a 15-year-old boy, who cannot be named.

He is facing charges of Accessory After the Fact to Murder and possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking.

The assault happened in the early hours of Mar. 8 on Selkirk Avenue near Main Street.

Emergency crews responded for the reports of an injured man. On arrival, the man, now identified as Warren Stewart Nabess, was in critical condition after suffering from blunt-force trauma.

He was sent to hospital, where he later died.

Police say there were a number of individuals in the house and surrounding area that were taken into custody.

Robert Terry Williams-Stove, 19, has also been charged with second-degree murder.

A third suspect was also identified and arrested on Mar. 11.

Eric Justin Sinclair, 38, has also been charged with second-degree murder, Fail to Comply with Probation Order and Breach of Recognizance.

Police say the occupants of the home were part of the drug trade, and the victim had attended the home at the time of the assault.
