WINNIPEG (CITYNEWS) – A Canada-wide arrest warrant has been issued for a convicted sex offender who’s gone missing from his residence.

The Manitoba Integrated High-Risk Sex Offender Unit (MIHRSOU) says Rainie James Semple, also known as Rene James Everett, is unlawfully at large and his whereabouts is unknown.

He was released from federal custody on Jan. 10 in relation to convictions for breaching a long-term supervision order.

Officers say Semple has a lengthy history of violent and sexual offences and even though he participated in some treatment programs he is considered high risk to re-offend in a sexual or violent manner.

They also warn that while all people could be at risk, females are more likely to be targeted.

If you have any information regarding Rainie James SEMPLE’s whereabouts, contact the Manitoba Integrated High-Risk Sex Offender Unit at 204-471-2811.
