Attempted murder charges laid in Monday stabbing

WINNIPEG (CITYNEWS) – Winnipeg Police have laid attempted murder charges after a violent stabbing late Monday night.

Shortly before midnight Monday, officers were called to a home on Tuxedo Avenue near Doncaster Street for a report of a stabbing. Upon arrival, officers found a woman in her 30s seriously injured. She was rushed to hospital in critical condition where she remains.

A little over an hour later, police arrested a suspect after he had returned to the scene.
